Day 20: Tel Dan, Bet Sh'ean, & Mount of Transfiguration

Tianna's corresponding blog: (click here)

These first images are taken at Tel Dan. It is a plush oasis in the otherwise dry Israel. It is north of Galilee and is the headwaters for the Sea of Galilee.

Surprisingly it is also the home to Christopher Robins and Winnie the Pooh. Don't believe me, here is his tree.
I must have gotten bored because I started to take very long exposures as I hiked around. Here are a few that turned out kind of fun.

This is now where people go to be baptized in the Jordan River like Christ. (Where Christ was baptized there isn't much water left in the Jordan River. It is more like the Jordan Ditch)

These are the ruins of Bet Sh'ean. This was one of the ancient cities of the Acropolis.

Ok. Since I am such a huge fan of clever bathroom pictures this place quite intrigued me. (The picture isn't great but the bathroom is awesome.) This is a public restroom. It basically worked by you sitting down between two rock slabs. There was a stream of water that ran under your feet. Wallah, Roman public bathrooms. Hope you don't get awkward going pee next to someone.

This is an old sauna.

These last few are from the top of the Mount of Transfiguration.
