In the visitors center there are these large windows looking out over the trademark sandstone. Inside the windows are found a large fake arch for interpretive purposes. It is one of the quandaries of protecting nature from human activity because then the other side of the coin is where we make it accessible to people and therefore it is no longer natural. I thought it was an interesting to see the parallel between the two in such an obvious way.
I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from Brigham Young University and a Master of Fine Arts degree through Maine Media College. I currently teach photography at Utah Valley University.
