Polling the Audience....

I am looking for opinions. I am undecided on which of these two images I like better. Let me know which one you prefer and maybe reasons if you got them.

I like #2. The way the kayak is leaving the frame makes me wonder where he is going, and it draws me in. I also like that he is more isolated, but you can still see plenty of ice in the water, so the effect of the ice is still there.

#2 - love the composition

I like the first one better. I like the pile of snow on the left and the kayaker holds my attention.

I like the first one more. The scale of the snow/ice on the left looks huge next to the kayak. It looks like he is in some arctic location--ike that is an iceberg or something.

Travis, I think both are beautiful, but there is something about the pile of ice in the first one that just pops to me. I would vote for the first one.

I like the first one best. The composition holds me longer. And the kayaker has room to move through the frame which feels more natural to me.

Number 100% it makes more of an impact to me than the first. I find the snow distracting in the first one.

the 2nd one. The leading line is pleasing and softer-- the first image has a lot of sun on that water (not really anything you can do about that), but it isn't as pleasing.

I like the leading lines of #2.
