Rock Climbing

Here are a couple pictures I took last week up Rock Canyon. This is for a grad school project that I'm working on and I'm curious to see which one people like better so feel free to leave your vote.

I'm in favor of the top one.

I'm liking the bottom one more...like the angle better. Take that for whatever you want since my photography knowledge is so extensive! :o)

I prefer the top one. Except that I wish there was a little more in focus in both shots.

the top.

it feels more central, and the lack of focus accents the focus on the climber. the bottom one, to me, has TOO much of a lack of focus. it evokes movement, which is disconcerting to me, but maybe that is what you are going for.

I enjoy your work.

I realize this is a little late, but I prefer the bottom one. As someone who is afraid of heights, which you very well know, this reflects better what I would be experiencing. I like that you can't see how far up or down the climber is, but in the top one you can tell, so the blurry isn't as effective for me in that shot. Of course, this is all personal bias.
