This is the only picture I took while on a failed hike into the Subway in Zion NP as part of spring break this year. I should have taken a clue how the hike would turn out after seeing this ominous looking view early on in the hike. I'll leave the story to your imagination.

This was I shot I set up for the Jason Alexander shoot. Jason didn't like the chair so we scrapped the location. But came back and shot this portrait of Jake Buntjer, one of my photo students, sitting on his throne. (Literally his throne, he let us borrow it for the shoot)

After a long break, I had a chance to return and take some photos in my home state of Idaho. This time happened to be in the long retired Idaho State Penitentiary in Boise. I hope no one inferred I ever called this place home by the title of this post...that would be silly. This was definitely my first visit. The next few posts will be from my morning spent in jail.
